Our Goals

Our district is a vibrant blend of diverse backgrounds, incomes, and communities. From farmers dealing with the financial fallout from Trump's tarriff nonsense, and families striving to make ends meet to homeowners realizing their dreams, we may have our differences, but we share common goals.

For the most part, we all want the same things:

- Safe neighborhoods where our children can play and our families can thrive.

- Affordable housing for working families and access to quality, affordable healthcare.

- Strong schools that equip our children for the future.

- Local jobs that provide living wages and foster small business growth.

- Support for those facing challenging times.

- Protection for our open spaces, farmland, and the unique charm of our towns from unchecked development, while still pursuing commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects.

We must also be open to change. Those of us who have grown up here or lived in the community for over 40 years have witnessed significant transformations. Some changes have been welcome, while others have not. What I've learned from this experience is that we must manage change thoughtfully, considering its impacts on our infrastructure, schools, environment, economy, and we must consider what the future benefits will be, if any . This isn't just a list of aspirations; it’s a roadmap, and I’m here to walk it with you.

Together, we can build a future that reflects our values, respects our differences, and strengthens the heart of District 8. Let’s make McHenry County a place where promises are kept—and progress is shared.
