Press Release: On Friday, August 8th of 2026, I announced my intention to seek the Democratic nomination for District 8 Chair on the McHenry County Board.

I have announced my intention to run for County Board. I have lived in McHenry County since 1981. I have seen many changes in the county over the past 40 some year's, some good and some not so good.

Today we are faced with an aging infrastructure, while trying to expand it to accommodate new development. We are also dealing with a lack of affordable housing. Other areas of concern are; water quality, open land and conservation, maintaining agriculture, RE taxes, economic opportunity/development, global warming impacts, renewable energy and sustainable growth. To compound the problems we are faced with is the loss of federal funding for many of services and programs that some of our citizens depend upon.

We need new thinking to address this era of change and to bring order to the choas. I know that my life experiences have prepared me for this challenge.
